What's the Vertical Datum for the CartoDEM V3R1

What's the Vertical Datum for the CartoDEM V3R1

I was looking at the data that I have downloaded for the CartoDEM V3R1, and I can't seem to figure out what is the vertical coordinate system that this data is in.

The values are very different from SRTM values, so I'm not quite sure what is the dataum for this data.

Is it WGS84, or is it EGM 96? or something else?

its Geographic Coordinate System, WGS-84 Datum
