I need to get elevation profile between a lot of locations i.e. pair of lat/long. Is there any mechanism available through which I can script and give those lat/long as input and get elevation profile between those points in text format. I need to have some API or elevation data in some other form.
I need the elevation profile which we get by selecting two points on map but in an automated way for 10,000-1,00,000 set of locations.
We need this data for an academic project in IIT Bombay.

The automated / API facility is not available at the moment. Download the DEM from NOEDA and you may make the process in software like QGIS.
