4. Bhuvan - Bhujal (Ground Water Prospects Information System)

5. Water Supply Pipeline Grid Optimization

6. Satellite based Accelerated Irrigation Benefit Program (AIBP) Project Monitoring

7. Water Resources Management Support: Maharashtra

8. Telangana Water Resources Information System

Integrated Water Shed Management Program (IWMP)

IWMP is a web based GIS application enabling the monitoring and evaluation of IWMP watersheds, using satellite remote sensing and sample field data using mobile smart phone applications has been realized. The application facilitates monitoring and evaluation of all IWMP watersheds for 10 states and 50 special watersheds in 16 states. Bhuvan-IWMP is a flagship program on Integrated Watershed Management Program (IWMP).

Salient Features

  • Collaborator-Department of Land Resources, Ministry of Rural Development
  • Image and map display, monitoring tools, summary statistics of all the IWMP watersheds.
  • National, State, District and watershed level access for information and report generation

Baseline Studies on Water Use Efficiency (WUE) of Irrigation projects

Under this application baseline study of water use efficiency of 10 medium irrigation projects in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh States is conducted by NRSC in collaboration with WALAMTARI with the objectives to assess the irrigated area and irrigation system performance for the projects under consideration for the year 2016- 2017 with satellite inputs coupled with infield measurements.

Salient Features

  • Collaborator-Water and Land Management Training and Research Institute(WALAMTARI)
  • 10 medium irrigation projects are under investigation.
  • Geospatial layers- administrative, infrastructure, topographic/terrain, thematic, hydrological, irrigation
  • Ground truth data collected by field functionaries.
  • Periodic updation of dynamic field data on irrigation canal supplies and reservoir storage.

Bhuvan Ganga

Bhuvan Ganga application is geospatial Support for National Mission for Clean Ganga, Water quality data, platform for crowd sourcing to monitor pollution in river Ganga and enable decision makers to prioritize interventions by enabling public to collect and report information on various pollution sources that affects the water quality of river Ganga

Salient Features

  • Collaborator-NMCG, Ministry of Water Resources
  • Hydrological layers, Main River Course, Water Quality, Soil, Environmental Data, Field Data etc.

Bhuvan - Bhujal (Ground Water Prospects Information System)

Bhuvan-Bhujal application has scientific database on prospective ground water information. This information can be utilized by the govt/private agencies for development of ground water. It provides the required information on geological parameters connected to ground water exploration and the probable ground water prospects. It narrow down the area of investigation for prolific selection of 1) sites for drilling and 2) for planning recharge structures, ultimately to address the drinking water problem more effective manner.

Salient Features

  • Collaborator-Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitations
  • Spatially user can visualizes the Ground Water Prospects information in terms of depth (shallow, moderate and deep) shown with three colour hatching patterns (horizontal, inclined and vertical) and yield shown in seven colours (Violet, Indigo, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange and Red).
  • Legend for understanding the ground water prospects information
  • Geological parameters : • Lithology (rock type), • Geomorphology (landform), • Geological structures (fractures/faults)
  • Ground water prospects ( For Authorized users only) : • Probable Depth and yield range of wells.
  • Portal contains seamless state-wise mosaics of groundwater prospect maps. Presently it is populated with ground water prospects information for 24 states viz. Andaman & Nicobar, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chattisgarh, Delhi, Goa, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizpram, Nagaland, Puducherry, Punjab, Sikkim, Tripura, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengald) Remaining 12 states maps information will be available very soon
